Hasti Kashfia is the founder of MODE Bay Area, a popular digital fashion publication; fashion editor at Elation, a Persian magazine; a celebrity wardrobe stylist; a wife and mother of two boys. Kashfia appears red carpet ready every day, so we want to know:
Do you have any wardrobe challenges? My main challenge is maintaining a look that is family friendly yet fashionable. I have to keeep up with my kids and look fabulous for my career at the same time.
Will you share a fashion tip? Go up a size and use a tailor if you are between sizes. An item that is tailored to fit your body, even if it is inexpensive, will compliment your shape better than a designer piece that doesn’t fit well.
What is a current fashion don’t: Don’t match your purse and shoes; it’s not right now.
Do you follow any fashion rules? For myself, I prefer a minimal or understated look. I have a thousand little black dresses that carry me from event to event and activitiy to activity. When I look back at pictures of myself I want to see something timeless.
Which are your top three beauty products? Laura Mercier Creme Smooth Foundation, La Mer cream, and a Shiseido eyelash curler.
