Parca Auxiliary’s 28th annual benefit luncheon and fashion show, Parca Libre, was a virtual journey to Old Havana at the home of Kellie and James Meyers in Hillsborough. Some 350 Parca supporters and their guests gathered in the open air market for aperitivos, silent auction shopping and Cuban music reminiscent of the Buena Vista Social Club. For lunch, Billy Harris of St. Clair’s Catering prepared an elegant Cuban menu served on tropically decorated tables in the tented backyard. As part of the live auction that featured 8 enticing packages, for $25 per head, guests participated in a lively heads or tails raffle game with a $3,500 prize from Steiner’s Jewelry. All proceeds donated to Parca Organization.
A runway built over the swimming pools featured a fashion show with the latest fashions from Sam Malouf Authentic Luxury and jewelry by Erickson Beamon. CFDA award winning designer Prabal Gurung attended the event and showcased his fall 2016 collection.
