The YMCA of San Francisco recognizes that the Bay Area’s kids are our next big thing. Top investors including business leaders from PG&E, BNY Mellon Wealth Management, Macquarie, Swirl and Roxanne and Albert Richards gathered for the YMCA’s third annual Y For Youth Luncheon: Fire Up the Startups, on March 7, 2014, at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco.
Some 400 supporters attended, met some impressive kids and helped raise $500,000 to continue the programs that serve more than 10,000 youth daily in San Francisco, San Mateo and Marin Counties. The YMCA offers childcare, after-school programming, mentoring, sports and education programs focused on safety, relationship building, skill building, community involvement and meaningful youth participation.
