Parca Auxiliary’s 23rd annual fashion show and luncheon, Bienvenue à Parca, was held on May 25, 2011, at Shashi Deb‘s home in Hillsborough, California. The event raised over $135,000, for Parca Organization, a nonprofit that serves people with developmental disabilities and their families in the Bay Area.
Some 300 supporters socialized, lunched and learned firsthand from families whose lives have been impacted by Parca’s work. Lively bidding on live auction packages — the desserts were a hit, tables of women pooled their resources to outbid one another for cakes and sweets — was immediately followed by a fashion show featuring Parca Auxiliary members and their husbands modeling spring 2011 looks from local retailer Wilkes Bashford.
