Red Cross Gala co-chairs Gwyneth Borden and Lillian Phan filled the Great Lawn at Treasure Island with 600 friends and supporters of Red Cross Bay Area and Paula Downey, on April 5, 2014. Downey, President and CEO of CSAA Insurance Group was presented with the 2014 Humanitarian CEO of the Year Award by Mary Cranston and Alexander Mehran on behalf of Red Cross Bay Area.
Guests watched the sunset over San Francisco during cocktails and then dined and danced to Sly and the Family Stone in brightly lit tents. More than $1.2 million was raised for local disaster preparedness, response, and recovery.
