Julia Panciroli Designs Made in San Francisco

Julia Panciroli for the Bay Area Arthritis Foundation

Julia Panciroli, a British clothing designer based in San Francisco, presented 30 looks from her made-to-measure collection at the 10th annual Bay Area Arthritis Auxiliary Fashion Show on October 18, 2012, at the Four Seasons Hotel in San Francisco. Some 400 supporters gathered for the event and benefit for the Arthritis Foundation, Northern California Chapter.

Panciroli’s signature flowers appeared on shift dresses, bolero jackets and evening gowns, and another feature that oft characterizes her work, the multi-layered peplum, was seen not only on dresses and tops, but also cascading into coattails on evening wear.  Dresses, gowns and suits of Italian stretch wool, French lace, silk satin, metallic brocade and duchesse lame were shown in a palette of purple, fuchsia and red, mixed with gray and black. The show closed with a bridal gown of embellished French lace, custom loomed in France for Julia Panciroli Couture by the same company that created the lace for Kate Middleton‘s wedding dress. Julia Panciroli’s atelier is located in the landmark Phelan Building, 760 Market Street, Suite 1010, San Francisco.
