Zoo II, a group of young professionals who provide and encourage financial support for the San Francisco Zoo and its conservation efforts, held its signature social event on September 26, 2009. The Fur Ball, also known as the “Wildest party of the year,” offered guests the opportunity to pet animals, ride the carousel and dance to ’80s tunes by the Pop Rocks at the San Francisco Zoo. Event co-chairs Sarah Gammill and Libby Leffler requested only faux fur on humans at The Fur Ball.
