Samasource, a global nonprofit that uses the tools of the information age to provide work for those who need it most celebrated five years of service at its Give Work Gala on November 1, 2013. Some 400 philanthropists, entrepreneurs and tech executives gathered at the Regency Ballroom in San Francisco. Thanks to Samasource, from Kenya to California, people can get connected in the most unlikely places. Watch the video to learn more:
At the event, Samasource founder and CEO Leila Janah presented its inaugural Impact Awards to representatives from Google, Walmart, Getty Images, 360 Incentives and the California Endowment, for their reliance on Samasource as part of their overall training and outsourcing strategy.
