Introducing VivaDressUp

Team Viva: Patrisha Bailey, Samantha Eng, Gloria Carrillo, Vanessa D'Amico, Kasey Lloyd and Layne Gray (Front)

Red Carpet Bay Area introduces VivaDressUp, a local company that is using one the newest approaches to charitable fundraising — dress drives, or what they call — Viva Dress Drives. VivaDressUp is the product of one of San Francisco’s notable former event planners, Layne Gray. Through VivaDressUp, Gray and her team have built a platform that anyone, anywhere can use to start creating change in the world, one dress at a time.

The business’s primary role includes individual consignment services for those looking to donate previously worn dresses, for the chance to earn back 60 percent of the net proceeds of donated items. In addition, VivaDressUp provides fundraising campaign services through custom dress drives and pajama parties in which VivaDressUp will cover all photography, merchandising and marketing needs while hosts get the chance to raise funds for their chosen causes without any upfront expenses, significant volunteer efforts, or having to ask for money.

With their corporate allies, Tampax, Always, Procter & Gamble, Sephora, Elle Macpherson Intimates, Tracy Reese and Newell Rubbermaid’s Goody, plus celebrity partners Kristen Bell, Katy Perry and Colbie Caillat, VivaDressUp also endeavors to empower young women all over the country through the donation of a portion of sales to their nonprofit partners Girl Up and buildOn.
