Last night two stars firmly established their fashion icon status. The pair of Academy Award winners, both recognized with Oscars in 2013, define Hollywood glamour now. Jennifer Lawrence and Lupita Nyong’o, each in gowns of gold, shined among the brightest at the Oscars 90th anniversary event. The two actresses wore jewelry from the same Japanese design house, Niwaka.
Breaking down the memorable looks:
Jennifer Lawrence in a gold sequined column dress designed for Dior by Maria Grazia Chiuri. Elegant jewelry of gold and diamonds from Niwaka included Kuon earrings, the Suiren ring, the Umeutage bracelet and the KUON bracelets. Hairstylist Tracy Cho created mid-length locks with lots of volume, reminiscent of 1980s glamour.
Lupita Nyong’o wore a custom gilded gown from Atelier Versace, a Versace handbag, Niwaka jewelry and Alexandre Birman shoes. Hairstylist Vernon François designed her hair into an elaborate labyrinth of crescents threaded with gold and inspired by the traditional Rwandan Amasunzu style.
