The Julia Morgan Ballroom filled with some 300 guests in honor of the Susan G. Koman Visionary Award winners in San Francisco on February 15, 2018. Trish Ferrin Loucks and Adiba Barney co-chaired the festive luncheon that celebrated Bay Area individuals and companies that have made important contributions toward breast cancer research.

Emmy Award winning broadcaster Jan Yanehiro emceed the event that featured a keynote from Adiba Barney, a 38-year old woman and CEO who is fighting stage four breast cancer. President of the Board of Directors for the Susan G. Komen San Francisco Bay Area Affiliate Patrick Barber presented proclamations from the City of San Francisco and the State of California to Joanne Horning, executive director and founder of the Komen affiliate.

Since the affiliate’s inception in 1987, it has granted over $15,000,000 to local hospitals and clinics that provide vital breast cancer services to women in need.
