America, Greece, Italy, France — the world was her home — and her voice was her passport. La Divina Maria Callas was celebrated at a gala opening for the brand new Italian Cultural Institute in San Francisco on September 23, 2010. Some 200 guests of the Italian and Greek Consulates were among the first in the United States to view Bruno Tosi’s collection of Maria Callas’s music, jewelry, love letters, costumes and photographs. The collection, on display through December 2nd, captures the glamour, elegance and mystique of a bygone era.
