September 17, 2008: Mr. and Mrs. Eddy Fanucchi of Fresno, California, brought a fashion-hungry group of 50 on a San Francisco shopping mission to benefit Saint Anthony’s School. Barneys welcomed the group by serving up Simon Doonan, their witty and renowned creative director, lunch catered by Taste, and the latest fall arrivals, ready-to-buy.

Doonan offered lots of tips, including my favorite: “Dressing down is a crime against humanity. Wear your party clothes every day.” His tip for moms in a rush: Throw on a great topper and go!
