Party for the Parks 2015

Party for the Parks at the Palace of Fine Arts

The 10th annual Party for the Parks benefit event at the Palace of Fine Arts attracted some 500 park supporters on September 19th. The iconic Palace of Fine Arts, the only remaining building from the 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition, provided both the setting and backdrop. Event designer Nicole Villa Krassner used a modern palette of white with pops of green set in a clear party tent so that the colored lights of the Palace could show through. Taste Catering provided a buffet supper and Live 105 DJ Aaron Axelson kept the dance floor full throughout the warm and balmy San Francisco night.

Nearly $500,000 was raised for the San Francisco Parks Alliance and the Recreation and Parks Department. This year’s gift will go towards fixing failing playgrounds in San Francisco so that every child has a safe, clean and fun place to play.
