The commissioners and trustees of the Asian Art Museum welcomed some 300 benefactors and sponsors to a gala dinner and pre-opening tour of its newest exhibition Yoga: The Art of Transformation, on February 19, 2014. Over an authentic Indian dinner catered by Amber India, guests heard from Deepak Chopra and author and yoga enthusiast Philip Goldberg.
Yoga: The Art of Transformation includes 130 pieces of art borrowed from 25 museums and private collections in India, Europe and the United States. It is the first major exhibition to explore yoga, and the Asian Art Museum is the only place on the West Coast to see it, through May 25th.
