Each year, the SAG Awards celebrate the outstanding motion pictures and television performances from the previous calendar year. Of the top industry honors presented to actors, only the SAG Awards are selected entirely by performers’ peers in SAG-AFTRA. Two nominating panels — one for television and one for film — each composed of 2,200 randomly selected union members from across the United States, chose this year’s nominees. All active members of SAG-AFTRA in the United States — more than 100,000 members — receive voting information to select the outstanding performances of the year.
