Red Carpet Bay Area is always on the lookout for new hairstyles, fresh makeup ideas and fabulous gowns worn with the right jewelry. Watching the Golden Globes and ogling at the glamour onscreen is our idea of a well spent Sunday night. The 72nd Annual Golden Globes on January 11, 2015, delivered — red carpet inspiration — interesting hairstyles, flawless makeup, sexy gowns and elegant jewelry.
Marybeth La Motte shares her red-carpet favorites from the Golden Globes 2015:
Hairstyles: I especially liked the shades of red and the styles on Emma Stone, Jessica Chastain and Amy Adams; the irresistible and romantic old-Hollywood waves on Katie Cassidy, Reese Witherspoon and Heidi Klum; the sleek and mile-long ponytails on Lorde and Katie Holmes. Kate Beckinsale‘s classic updo was adorable and Camilla Alves modern version reminded me of the Dutchess of Cambridge at Saint Andrew’s 600th Anniversary. Sienna Miller‘s and Rosamund Pike‘s cropped blond locks looked modern, polished and pretty.
My picks for best-all-around wore minimal jewelry, hairstyles that looked natural, flawless makeup and voguish ensembles: Jennifer Aniston in Saint Laurent, Emma Stone in Lanvin, Kerry Washington in Mary Kantrantzou, Sienna Miller in Miu Miu with just-right jewelry by Tiffany & Co., Katie Cassidy in Mikael D. and Rosamund Pike in Vera Wang. Amal Clooney epitomized classic beauty and elegance in Dior Haute Couture, minimal jewelry and white kid gloves with a matching white handbag.
Tune in for Red Carpet Bay Area favorites at the opening of San Francisco Ballet on January 22nd.
