Nieto Fine Art — Red Carpet Bay Area went to downtown San Francisco and found a family bringing together art, history and the community. Meet the Nieto family:
Brothers Anaya Nieto and John A. Nieto opened Nieto Fine Art Gallery in San Francisco with goals to invigorate the San Francisco art scene with the work of their father, John Nieto, along with rarely seen collections from a carefully selected mix of contemporary local and international artists. On May 18, 2011, the Nieto family celebrated the Nieto Fine Art Gallery opening at 565 Sutter Street, near Union Square, and hosted an exhibition preview to benefit Japanese relief efforts in the wake of the Tōhoku earthquake and Pacific Tsunami.
Artist John Nieto’s work is most often recognized for its expressions of pride and vitality in animals and native Americans using intense primary colors with electric hues. He has a loyal Japanese following and his exhibitions in Japan have received rave reviews.
