Margene’s Bridal Story is Ending

"Margene's had the perfect birdcage veil to go with the dress that I selected." Olivia Smartt. on Yelp

Since 1961, Margene Burns has helped every kind of bride analyze every detail of her wedding day style. Margene spent 55 years examining dresses, their fit, color and accessories in her full-service, one-stop bridal shop on Grand Avenue in Oakland. At the end of the summer she is closing the doors and retiring. All of her inventory must go — hundreds of wedding dresses, cocktail and evening dresses, bridal accessories and costume jewelry, all at 30 – 70 percent off.

Margene helps brides decide what they want, whether a classic wedding gown, something Cinderella-like, or more sophisticated. A short dress, chapel train, lace, organza, or whatever her vision, Margene wants each bride to find a style that is right for her, and one that flatters her figure. Margene is ready with solutions and dresses for all types of weddings. Options in shades of white, diamond white, shades of ivory and blush tones — like the brides — no two are alike. If you are looking for a dress, I suggest talking to Margene before she closes her shop.
