House of Dior in San Francisco

In San Francisco, the House of Dior is a boutique at 216 Stockton Street in the Union Square district. There you will find John Galliano’s jewels (his term for evening gowns), handbags, scarves, sunglasses, blouses, skirts, coats and dresses and more, for Dior.

Dior creative director John Galliano followed Gianfranco Ferre who took the reins from Mark Bohan who succeeded Yves Saint Laurent, who ruled the couture house that Christian Dior established in Paris, 1947.  Ten tremendously successful years later, in 1957, Mr. Dior suddenly passed away. His elegant style lived on and graced the likes of Ava GardnerMarilyn Monroe and Princess Diana. I wore one to the San Francisco Opera recently, and so did Arianna Huffington. I’ve seen Dior on many women around town, including Joy Bianchi, Patricia Rock, Diane Rubin, Kendall Wilkinson and Brenda Zarate, just to name drop a few.
