Fashion for the Environment

Princess Fati Farmanfarmaian hosted a fashionable affair to benefit Coral Reef Alliance on October 21, 2009, at the Bently Reserve in San Francisco. Featured local designers included Amber Marie Bently and Verrieres & Sako, two local fashion companies that share a commitment to sustainable style. Amber Marie presented her  jewelry collection made from recycled 18kt gold and responsibly sourced gems. Stephanie Verrieres and Kimi Sako, recipients of the 2008 Gen Art Fresh Faces in Fashion Award, presented Verrieres & Sako’s 1920’s-era inspired separates, dresses and evening gowns for fall/winter 2010.

Amber Marie and her husband Christopher Bently frequently open the Bently Reserve, formerly the Old Federal Reserve Bank, for nonprofit organizations that support environmental sustainability.
