The Cartier boutique in San Francisco hosted a reception honoring First Lady of San Francisco Jennifer Siebel Newsom and the San Francisco Film Society on May 4, 2009. The event served as a fundraiser for Newsom’s new film highlighting women and power. Director Kimberlee Acquaro is working with Newsom to produce a documentary film about the dramatic under-representation of women in positions of power and influence in America, especially in the male-dominated worlds of entertainment and politics. The goal is to provoke discussion and debate.
