Saks Fifth Avenue and The League to Save Lake Tahoe presented another Oscar de la Renta fashion show at Lake Tahoe on August 3, 2013. The Oscar de la Renta 2014 Resort Collection featured on the runway while some 600 fashionable supporters lunched. The sold-out event took place at the Schumacher family estate on the north shore of Lake Tahoe. This year, dedicated to the memory of Diana Dollar Knowles, one of the founders of the original event. Now in its 44th year, the tradition goes back to the late sixties when designer Bill Blass started showing his collection to a few loyal clients and friends at Lake Tahoe. Since then, it has evolved into a widely anticipated summer event.

“This year’s fashion show was truly breathtaking with Oscar’s 2014 Resort Collection coming alive on the runway with the beautiful lake as the backdrop. Saks Fifth Avenue is proud to be a part of this annual tradition alongside Oscar de la Renta and The League to Save Lake Tahoe, and of course appreciates the support from those in attendance that makes this event so successful in helping keep Lake Tahoe blue,” stated Cheryl Fordham, vice president and general manager for Saks Fifth Avenue in San Francisco.
