More than Dior at the Mid-Winter Gala

Midwinter Gala, Fine Arts Museums, Red Carpet Bay Area
Sloan Barnett with fashion designer Rubin Singer

The Mid-Winter Gala, held after spring had sprung on March 27, 2015, sponsored by Christian Dior and co-chaired by Kathryn Lasater and Allison Speer, attracted some 400 supporters. Many women and a few men wore Dior, though show-stopping looks from Oscar de la RentaAndrew Gn, Carolina Herrera and Rubin Singer were also represented. My favorite was Sloan Barnett‘s pairing of Bulgari’s serpentine necklace with a dramatic black and metallic gown by Rubin Singer.

The 12th annual high fashion evening and benefit for the Fine Arts Museums was held at the Legion of Honor and hosted by the Junior Committee of the Fine Arts Museums, San Francisco.

The Mid-Winter Gala 2015 celebrated High Style: The Brooklyn Museum Costume Collection, an exhibition that traces tastes and traditions worn by American women throughout the 20th century. High Style is on display at the Legion through July 19th.
