Artist Bruce Munro at the VIP reception for Bruce Munro at Montalvo: Stories in Light

British artist Bruce Munro lit up the night at Montalvo Arts Center in Saratoga, California at the premiere of his first ever west coast exhibition, Bruce Munro at Montalvo: Stories in Light. Some 200 VIPs and donors gathered to meet the artist and watch the inaugural illumination on October 25, 2018.

Bruce Munro at Montalvo: Stories in Light, on display through March 17, 2019, transforms the Villa and its public areas with ten large-scale, light-based art installations. Munro used hundreds of thousands of components to construct multi-hued waves, clusters, cascades, flocks, and seas of light throughout the center’s lawns, gardens, terraces, and historic structures. Montalvo Arts Center is situated on 175 acres in Silicon Valley’s Saratoga Hills. The exhibition is the largest number of works by the artist ever on view at a single venue and is expected to attract visitors from around the world.
