A look back at San Francisco Symphony’s 100-year celebration, Fanfare for a New Century on September 7, 2011. Davies Symphony Hall was dressed to the nines for the birthday party, and so were the guests! San Francisco Symphony’s Centennial Gala kicked off with cocktails at the War Memorial Opera House followed by dinners in an elaborate tent and at City Hall. The memorable performance at Davies Symphony Hall featured Michael Tilson Thomas and the San Francisco Symphony with legendary violinsit Itzhak Perlman and uber-talented pianist Lang Lang.
