If September was the official start of San Francisco’s social season, October was the sprint. The first month in the final quarter of 2014 ended with an eighth World Series win for the San Francisco Giants! Red Carpet Bay Area started the month with lunch and a fashion show featuring the Carmen Marc Valvo Spring 2015 collection on the runway for the Bay Area Arthritis Auxiliary.  The days and weeks following included a wet and wacky TNDC Celebrity Pool Toss, Bruno Mars and CAKE at The Concert for UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals and Michael Franti at the Operation Smile Gala. On the fashion and philanthropy front, Kristy Caylor of Maiyet, was honored by Voss Foundation and SF Zoo Auxiliary presented its third annual hat luncheon inspired by the exotic bird. We were proud to support one of San Francisco’s finest parties, the preview gala for the 33rd annual San Francisco Fall Antiques Show, and MBL Media Productions introduced Leah Rodriguez, chair of the Junior League of San Francisco 20th Annual Home Tour. Marybeth La Motte recalled some of her favorite Oscars when fashion designer Oscar de la Renta passed away after a long battle with cancer.

November: MBL Media Productions filmed the inaugural fundraising gala and a fashion show by Vasily Vein for Rooms that Rock 4 Chemo. We met Carolina Herrera at the de Young Museum, encountered a group of social-minded young people led by Anderson Pugash, and prepared for a myriad of communications projects in December.

December: MBL Media Productions introduced Ebola survivor Dr. Ian Crozier to the team at Facebook and planned three more local events to help Accordia Global Health Foundation raise awareness and funds for its mission to fight infectious diseases in Africa. Red Carpet Bay Area covered the 13th annual Jingle and Mingle benefit event for children and families living in San Francisco’s shelters, Holiday Heroes at AT&T Park and GLIDE’s Holiday Jam.  We introduced a new event — Vietnamese American: The Next Generationand shined a spotlight on the debutantes presented at the 58th Annual Links Cotillion Ball.
