Red Carpet Bay Area Episode Four Premiere — the show opened with an exclusive interview with world-renowned fashion designer Michael Kors, as he debuted his fall/winter 2010 collection at the San Francisco Ballet Auxiliary Fashion Show. Viewers got a red carpet tip from backstage – we called it “air hair.” Also in the beauty category, host Marybeth La Motte exposed how moms can get back to their old selves, post-pregnancy, with Mommy Makeovers from Dr. James Anthony.
Next, we highlighted some students at Lynwood Elementary School in Novato, California. They wrote and performed their own opera with help from San Francisco Opera Guild.
Then, it was back to the fashion world as Red Carpet Bay Area shared an inside peek at the Met Costume Institute Gala in New York. We featured interviews with Anna Wintour, Oprah Winfrey, Liv Tyler, Jessica Alba and Brooke Shields on the red carpet. Back in San Francisco, Olivia Doyne from The Gap talked about the company involvement in the event and related merchandise.
To end the show, Robert Mailer Anderson, chair of the SFJAZZ benefit gala, welcomed us and introduced jazz stars including honoree Bobby Hutcherson and legend John Handy on the Red Carpet. All that on Red Carpet Bay Area, Sunday, May 16, 2010, on KRON4.
