No matter who you are or where you live, when disaster strikes, the Red Cross aims to be there for you.  On March 6, 2010, the American Red Cross Bay Area Chapter will Paint the Town Red at City Hall for their annual fundraiser and reminder about the importance of local disaster preparedness.  4.5 million residents in the Bay Area count on the Red Cross for assistance in emergencies, and the Red Cross requires community support in order to sustain its vital role.

300 supporters gathered for the Paint the Town Red launch party on February 10, 2010, where they learned "disaster dining" techniques from local chefs.  Tickets for the Paint the Town Red gala, a black-tie dinner dance and auction at San Francisco's City Hall, are available at www.redcrossbayareagala.com.
