Beauty pageants are about serious sparkle, glamour and gowns. Keylee Sanders, former Miss Teen USA, pageant coach, executive director of Miss California USA and Miss California Teen USA, now a highly sought wardrobe stylist, reports on the Miss USA 2009 gowns and offers a pageant secret:
- Three of the top five contestants wore white
- Kristen Dalton, Miss North Carolina, crowned Miss USA on April 19, 2009, wore a turquoise gown with a crystal band
