Magic Theatre’s annual fundraising gala supports talented artists, bold new plays, and an ambitious theatre company that has been serving up all of that since 1967. From its ambitious beginnings, Magic Theatre has developed a reputation as a cultural hotspot in San Francisco’s Fort Mason Center, committed to developing bold new plays, playwrights, and audiences.
Magic Theatre is honored that many of our artists first produced here have gone on to great heights and incredible success. Just a few examples: Christina Anderson accepted the 2017 Harper Lee Award, recognizing extraordinary women in American theatre, Tarell Alvin McCraney won an Academy Award for his adapted screenplay Moonlight, and Taylor Mac was just honored with the MacArthur Genius Award. These playwrights not only inspired our audiences but have gone on to share their message with millions.
Magic Theatre Gala: Magic Masquerade includes a hosted reception, decadent dining, and a creative crescendo to the night.
