Esquire Magazine shared 58 rules for men’s style in the 21st century.  I only wish they would have addressed the no socks with tuxedos look I’ve seen around town. Three of my favorite rules from the list — 11: The coworker who occasionally changes into a tuxedo before leaving for the evening is not someone you want to have as an enemy. 15: Yes, you still have to wear a cummerbund. 44: Men who wear ties to the office even though they don’t have to are three times as likely to run the office someday as those who don’t.

When it comes to Red Carpet style, my usual focus is on the women. Pictured below are two stylish men in San Francisco, Trent Norris and Jack Calhoun, at San Francisco Symphony Opening Gala 2014. Both wearing tuxedos from Banana Republic, with socks. Norris is wearing a tuxedo from Banana Republic’s Mad Men collection, Calhoun’s is from the Monogram Collection.
