FAMSF Page Views Book Club ‘Monet: The Early Years’ @ Florence Gould Theater at the Legion of Honor
Apr 26 @ 1:30 pm – 2:30 pm

FAMSF Page Views Book Club 'Monet: The Early Years'Page Views ‘Monet: The Early Years’ is the inaugural event for Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco’s first ever book club!

Join us for this free event at the Legion of Honor Florence Gould Theater, where we will discuss The Judgment of Paris: The Revolutionary Decade That Gave The World Impressionism by Ross King. In this compelling non-fiction work, King describes the period surrounding the rise of the Impressionists in France and their larger place in modern art history. This parallels ‘Monet: The Early Years,’ the first major US exhibition devoted exclusively to the initial phase of Claude Monet’s career.

About Page Views:

Our goal is to deepen engagement with works on view by pairing special exhibitions with a companion text. Together, we’ll celebrate art history, literature, and the thrill of lively discussion among friends new and old.
