Altuzarra Fall 2015 New York Fashion Week

Joseph Altuzarra Fall 2015

The Altuzarra fall 2015 show, presented on February 14th at New York Fashion Week. Described by Rachel Zoe in just two words: seriously magnificent. I agree:

Joseph Altuzarra said that he created his fall 2015 collection with the Dandy in mind, and was further inspired by Truman Capote‘s Swans. A quote, “I wanted to capture the perverted aspects of aristocratic style.” In particular, he mentioned American heiress and artist Gloria Vanderbilt and American style icon and socialite Babe Paley. Dandy, a term from the late 18th and early 19th centuries, was used to describe a man who did his best to appear nonchalant while placing particular importance upon his clothing and demeanor.

The results gained rave reviews from, among many others, Glenda Bailey of Harpers Bazaar, Linda Fargo of Bergdorf Goodman, Kate Dimmock of People Style Watch and fashion consultant Julie Gilhart. And me.
